The following resources about Turnitin are available to instructors

Apply for Account
Accounts are normally limited to faculty, graduate assistants, and staff who are teaching a course. To apply for an account:
- Send an e-mail to turnitin@psu.edu using your Penn State e-mail address or contact the Help Desk using one of the options listed on http://helpdesk.psu.edu.
- Include your Penn State userid, the courses you are teaching and the semester you are teaching them in.
Note: TAs needing Turnitin access should ask the instructor of record to request an account. The instructor can then add TAs to a Turnitin course section. - Once an account is granted, instructors will be sent login instructions and a Quickstart Guide.
Note: Activation instructions are only valid for the current academic year. The activation information changes in early May of each year after the end of the Spring semester. If activation does not work, you may need to receive a new Quickstart Guide.
Exceptions may be granted to certain non-instructional staff members on a case by case basis.
Note: The account activation procedure will change on May 7, 2012. To avoid being affected by this change, faculty should please complete the activation procedure by 4:00 PM on May 7, 2012.
