Suggested Timeline for Portfolio Development
Portfolios Due: Two weeks before the final written theses
Graduate teaching assistants may prepare for a Teaching With Technology non-credit certificate at any time, continuously or piece by piece. Normally, certificate work will be integrated with regular teaching preparation and classroom or online teaching innovations.
Preparing your professional resume
In order for a professional web site to be useful when seeking a position, we suggest that you complete the requirements a year or so prior to graduation. However, you may have your portfolio reviewed during any semester prior to graduation.
Deadline for review
To get approval for a certificate during fall or spring semester, portfolio work must be completed and the web site submitted to your department representative for review by about two weeks before final written theses are due. (Or see "Calendar" link on the Graduate School Home Page.)
- In fall semester, the due date is usually the first week of November.
- In spring semester, the due date is usually the second week of April.
- In the summer term, the due date is usually the second week of July
