1space.gif (49 bytes) A mentor acts as an agent to further student research

One of the primary responsibilities of a mentor is to share resources with their mentees. This might include suggesting articles related to a research project or field-related organizations. Given the large number of students in some classes, a professor may answer the same research and resource questions several times. Technology allows you to present valuable information and minimize the time spent answering questions from students. There are several ways to provide resources to your students: By creating resources like these, students have a wealth of information at their finger tips. Students will be introduced to field related resources while gaining information gathering skills. They will realize that research is necessary in any field. The time it takes to create a one-stop resource like this will more than be recouped in the time saved answering similar questions and making similar referrals.
