Override Font: Internet Explorer Windows

Instructions

This Web page gives instructions on how to override a Web page font in Internet Explorer 5/6 for Windows.

  1. Open up any Web page.
  2. Under the Tools menu, choose Internet Options.

  3. You should see a window with a list of options on the bottom. Click on the Accessibility button on the bottom of this window.
  4. In the Accessibility window, check "Ignore font styles specified on Web pages." Click OK.

  5. The pages should now show your default fonts.
  6. DON'T FORGET to put your browser back on its original settings when you are finished viewing a problematic Web page.
