Wikis

Wikis are a series of tools which allows a group of users to post and edit content on the Web without learning HTML.

Examples

Romantic Audience Project - Course project in which students build a wiki reference on 19th century Romantic literature.

Reasoning Well - an online philosophy and logic wiki which is edited by Elise Springer of Wesleyan University.

Country Health Sector Reports - Course assignment in which students created reports on health care systems in multiple countries within a wiki environment. Final reports include China, Nigeria and Spain.

Wikipedia - a free online encyclopedia in which anyone in the public can apply to be an editor and create or change entries. Despite various controversies, quality remains consistently high on most pages.
