Hypertext Annotation

With "Hypertext", it's possible to provide detailed annotations or "data snapshots" which don't overwhelm the user.

Examples

Pater Noster in Germanic Languages - Allows you compare the linguistic forms of the Pater Noster in two Germanic languages simultaneously.

Lexicon of Linguistics - Allows you to look up individual terms.

Metropolitan Museum of Art Timeline of Art History - View art images and information from around the world for various time periods. Covers 20,000 B.C. to the present. Includes a clickable map and zoom images of items in the collection.

National Park Service Shaker Historic Sites - Click on Shaker hat icon on the Flash map to find out more about that location.

George Washington Interactive Portrait - This Flash module lets you click on different motifs in the 1796 Gilbert Stuart painting and view them from a biographical, symbolic and artistic (technical) perspective.

National Gallery of Art Monet Painting - Detailed information about Claude Monet's "The Japanese Footbridge." Many paintings in the Archive's collection are similarly annotated and can be accessed through the N.G.A collection search form.

M.F.A. Monet Exhibit - A different take on Monet in which different paintings of the same theories are placed side by side.
