Viewing Insects
under Multiple Microscopes

Description

These Flash animations show microsocopic views of different insects and explains how the structural properties of their anatomies give them their abilities including sticking to walls, walking on water, spinning stronger webs and having iridescent wings.

The tutorials also include descriptions of how each type of microscope (compound optical, scanning electron and atomic force) works and the structures seen at different magnifications.
