Virtualization technologies have once again become an important component of data center infrastructure and the IT toolbox. One model for deploying these tools is to build a central infrastructure and then share or apportion it as needed. This forum will expose some of the thinking behind the current VM hosting service offered by ITS, including how we are applying what we've learned so far to continually improve the service. We will also discuss plans and ideas for the future and share our experience in deploying and maintaining the components of the hosted service. The forum should also be interesting to anyone working with or planning to deploy virtualization technologies in general.
