Educational gaming brown bag on Typo! and other grammar games to take place Sept. 21
Anyone interested in the use of games in education is invited to attend a free educational gaming brown bag on "Typo! and Other Games of Grammar and Writing" on Wednesday, September 21 from noon to 1:00 p.m.
Anyone interested in the use of games in education is invited to attend a free educational gaming brown bag on "Typo! and Other Games of Grammar and Writing" on Wednesday, September 21 from noon to 1:00 p.m. Participants can attend in person in 202K Rider Building, University Park or via a Meeting@PennState desktop videoconference.
The session will feature a demonstration of Typo!, a game that reinforces writing skills and a discussion of other word games. Instructor Bim Angst from Penn State Schuylkill will discuss her multiple semesters of experience with Typo! as a practice tool for students learning proofreading.
The event is the first in a series of fall brown bags to take place the third Wednesday of each month, hosted by the Educational Gaming Commons, a service of Information Technology Services.
