All Turnitin services to be unavailable on July 11, 2009 and August 8, 2009

Turnitin announced that all TurnItIn services will be UNAVAILABLE during the following maintenance windows:

Saturday, July 11th 2009 from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm PACIFIC DAYLIGHT TIME

Saturday, August 8th 2009 from 8:00 am to midnight PACIFIC DAYLIGHT TIME

As of May 26, 2009, the system now prevents instructors from setting new assignment due dates in either of these two windows (or the equivalent local date and time). Assignments set up before this date may need to have their due dates adjusted to accommodate these downtimes (see directions on how to change assignment dates). A message will appear to instructors and students in their Turnitin accounts informing them of these maintenance windows. The message will appear a month before each of the maintenance windows occurs.
