This Winter-Fest, faculty and instructors are invited to participate in Digital Media Day on Wednesday, January 7. Consisting of two half-day sessions, Digital Media Day is designed to provide opportunities for faculty and instructors to learn and practice incorporating audio, video, and multimedia delivery tools into teaching. Also new this year are several application overviews and demonstration sessions which will be offered live through Adobe Connect meeting and training software in order to give those who are unable to travel to the University Park session the opportunity to attend via the Web.
Winter-Fest is a weeklong training event that was developed to target technology as it relates to pedagogy. Winter-Fest 2009 will be held January 5-9. Popular topics include ANGEL, Blogs at Penn State, Adobe Connect, Penn State Wikispaces, Podcasting, and more. This year, Adobe's Steve Adler will provide training on building portfolios and collaborating using Acrobat 9.
